The Tailors Tale3D Model
Growing up in Germany, everyone probably knows the book “Der Struwwelpeter” by Heinrich Hoffmann. A pedagogically rather questionable work on the education of children - but written for children. (But you absolutely have to read it!)*
In “The Story of the Thumbsucker” little Konrad doesn’t listen to his mother and sucks his thumb again (as soon as she’s out the door). A tailor then comes in with huge scissors and cuts off both of Konrad’s thumbs. And even as a child I asked myself (among all the horror in the Struwwelpeter stories) where did this tailor suddenly come from? Where is he going again? What on earth does he want with all those thumbs? Maybe my 3D scene will give you some food for thought as to what it could be…
